Investing in Tessellations’ Future
The Tessie Annual Fund directly enhances every aspect of the student experience, ensuring that our school continues to thrive as a place of innovation, exploration, and community. Your support helps attract exceptional educators, enrich academic programs, maintain inspiring learning environments, and provide students with opportunities that extend far beyond the classroom. Every contribution strengthens the foundation of Tessellations, empowering our students to grow, create, and lead with confidence.

Exceptional Faculty
Attracting and retaining outstanding educators is key to our mission. Competitive compensation, professional growth opportunities, and innovative teaching resources ensure that our teachers—who shape students’ lives daily—can thrive in the Bay Area and continue delivering an exceptional education.

Academic Excellence
From deep explorations in the arts, mathematics, and sciences to real-world, competency-driven learning, Tessellations provides a rigorous academic experience. Our curriculum spans elementary through high school, empowering students to engage with complex ideas and the global community. With a highly individualized approach, our educators meet students where they are—adapting instruction to nurture each learner’s unique strengths, passions, and pace. This level of differentiation ensures that every student is both challenged and supported, fostering a deep love of learning in an environment designed for intellectual growth.

Facilities & Learning Spaces
Tessellations is a place where curiosity thrives. Our 9.4-acre Cupertino campus is designed to inspire hands-on learning, with over 30 classrooms, breakout rooms, and specialized spaces like a multipurpose room, art and music studios, and a vibrant library. Expansive outdoor areas, including playgrounds, fields, and blacktop spaces, provide endless opportunities for movement, connection, and play.
Beyond our main campus, the Tessellations Nature Campus is home to our Outdoor Education program, where students build a deep connection with the natural world. Through hikes, outdoor classes, hands-on science experiments, and seasonal observations, students develop a sense of stewardship and appreciation for the environment. Camping trips, free exploration, and time spent in nature create lifelong memories and inspire curiosity beyond the classroom.

Professional Development
Our educators are lifelong learners, continuously expanding their expertise to inspire students. With diverse backgrounds, advanced degrees, and global experience, our teachers embrace ongoing training, evolving instructional techniques, and new ways to engage students. Investing in their growth means investing in the future of our students.

Student Experience
Beyond the classroom, students develop essential life skills—executive functioning, leadership, self-advocacy, and social connection. Your support fuels enriching extracurriculars that build confidence, foster friendships, and prepare students to navigate an ever-changing world.
A few highlights of our programs:

Innovation & Makerspace – A dynamic space where students explore engineering, design thinking, and hands-on problem-solving.
Theater & Performing Arts – From improv to full-scale productions, students develop storytelling, stage presence, and behind-the-scenes production skills.
Visual Arts – Students explore diverse art mediums, study influential works from around the world, and develop creative confidence through hands-on projects that encourage personal expression and artistic growth.

Community Outreach
Tessellations is committed to fostering a culture of connection, service, and impact beyond our campus. Through partnerships, service projects, and outreach programs, we engage with the broader community to share resources, inspire learning, and create meaningful change. Your support helps expand these initiatives, ensuring that our students develop a strong sense of civic responsibility and a lifelong commitment to making a difference.
Recently, our 4th and 5th graders took on the roles of biologists, policy scientists, and engineers to research salmon conservation in the Guadalupe River. Their work culminated in a presentation to San Jose’s Mayor’s Office, where they shared their findings, advocacy letters, and a student-created brochure. This hands-on project demonstrated how science, policy, and activism intersect to address real-world environmental challenges.
